Bruce’s career path began in Richmond, Virginia, where he worked as a bank officer and financial analyst after serving as a Special Agent in Army Intelligence during the Vietnam conflict and receiving the Army Commendation Medal. He subsequently joined Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor and continued to build on his investment management experience over the years with Prudential Securities, EF Hutton/Smith Barney and UBS PaineWebber, before joining Wells Fargo Advisors. Bruce received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University at Los Angeles. In his free time, you will find Bruce involved with antique automobiles, as a member of the Lowcountry Oyster & Motorcar Driving Society in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Over the years, Bruce has contributed to his community by serving as Past President of Lions Club International, Past President and Lt. Governor of Kiwanis International, and Special Olympics. He has also served his local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). On a personal note, Bruce and his wife, Karen, are blessed with a daughter who resides in Annapolis, Maryland, and proudly served for 12 years as a U.S. Naval Officer. Bruce and Karen also have two retired racing greyhounds, and both volunteer to promote greyhound adoption awareness in their community.

Robert began his career in financial services as an intern with Merrill Lynch. After graduation, Robert worked briefly worked for Citigroup Smith Barney prior to relocating to Charlotte, NC in 2008. Since then, Robert held multiple positions at LPL Financial, Wells Fargo, and Great Lakes and Atlantic, including positions as compliance officer, team leader, and Director of Operations.

In 2018, Robert founded Independent Advisors, Inc. The firm focuses on consulting services to independent advisory and brokerage firms in the areas of operations, compliance, and technology management. Robert received a BS degree in Business Administration from the University at Buffalo. In 2014, Robert returned to school and obtained an MBA focused in real estate development and finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Lastly, in the summer of 2018, Robert obtained the CFP® Designation. In his spare time Robert enjoys traveling, sailing, and being active in his community. He currently serves on the alumni council for University of North Carolina Charlotte and is an active member of several organizations.

Since 2007, after serving as Independent Publisher of Business Leader Magazine, she developed a niche working with wealth management firms and their centers of influence.  Most recently Wendy was Director of Advisor Solutions with Great Lakes & Atlantic and was instrumental in their growth from inception in 2014 to date bringing on 48 IARs, 38 firms and increasing the AUM from $0 in 2014 to over a billion as of Q417.  Wendy has worked with on-boarding IARs to locate real estate, develop a firm name and brand, create web content and coordinate development, social media, creating communication with client base around their move as well as assisting in business strategy after the move. Wendy is a native of Charlotte, NC and received a BA in Economics from UNC Chapel Hill and MBA from Queens University in Charlotte. She was named one of Mecklenburg County’s 50 Most Influential Women in 2012 and 2018. In 2013 her company received an award for Small Businesses Making a Difference in the Community. She has been involved with charitable events including the Curry Celebrity Golf Classic benefitting the Ada Jenkins Center, Save A Life Golf Classic benefitting LifeShare and the Wine Spectacular benefitting the Lake Norman Community Clinic.  Wendy had her own fundraising organization, Not Just Shopping, for eight years. She and her husband and two daughters reside in Charlotte.  Emily and Megan attend UNCC in Charlotte.
